‘A Change is Gonna Come’ is an anthology looking for short stories by authors from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds.
We are launching an open call for submissions from unpublished and unagented writers, with room for a number of new authors to be added to the line-up. We see this project as an opportunity to discover and nurture new BAME writers. Our hope is that the anthology will launch several long and successful careers. Literary agent Julia Kingsford of Kingsford Campbell and Sarah Shaffi, Online Editor of The Bookseller and co-founder of the BAME in Publishing network, will act as editorial consultants in selecting stories from the open submissions.
They’re paying GBP 150 per short story from 2,000 to 5,000 words, and include a print and ebook contributor copy. The market shuts end of Feb, so if you are in their target writer demographic, submit!
