I don’t normally promote ‘for-the-love’ markets, for various reasons, including my belief that artists should always be offered at least a token payment (regardless of whether they accept it). Nonetheless, today I present SQ Mag:
SQ Mag is an international speculative fiction ezine, which publishes the best of its fiction in an annual print and ebook anthology. We currently publish our fiction on a two-monthly basis. Watch out for new editions on the 1st of January, March, May, July, September, and November each year (this will be in the morning of the release day, Australian Eastern Standard/Daylight Saving Time). We strive to present the highest standard fantasy, horror and science fiction, and that is why we will publish no more than nine pieces of fiction each edition, and often less. We are also committed to publishing at least one of each genre.
SQ Mag is looking for submissions from flash fiction to novelette size (17,500 words).
I final note, from the magazine team itself, with regards to their intent for the magazine:
[A]ll of our voluntary efforts are working towards a token payment system, then towards semi-pro, and finally pro.
So do try to support them to work towards this goal.
[Update: As you can tell from the comments, SQ now pays writers!]
