100 words of fiction, written in either English, Hebrew, Arabic or Spanish, with a first prize of $20,000 and 3 runner up prizes of $1000 each for the best story in the remaining three languages. The site itself is a little poorly translated but the message comes through clearly:
It announces the third edition of the award in its two previous editions has been a great success of participation. Nearly twenty thousand stories received a hundred countries confirm that Microstories Award is an initiative that encompasses people, cultures and nations of many different traditions.
The ‘slogan’ of this year’s competition is ‘Words and Freedom’.
You have until the 23rd of November to submit your entries. You can write 100 words in a few months, right? The competition accepts up to two stories per author.
